Course Overview
This course aims to give all delegates a good understanding and knowledge in the use of cable avoidance tools and generators and the importance of using them on site.
600 people are injured every year due to underground cables being damaged during excavation work on the highway. Many more are injured through damaging water and gas pipes, these damages often incur high repair charges and loss of work.
Why do you need it?
Competence training in the use of cable locators is widely recognised as one of the key steps to reducing cable strikes. So any person working on the roads, people who are setting out before a build, surveyors and any person excavating areas should be trained in the correct use of cable locators.
