Course Overview
This course is designed to make operatives fully conversant in the operation of the Gotcha S.H.A.R.K. Kit for both rescue and evacuation. Delegates will learn to lower a casualty safely to ground level or descend to a suspended casualty to perform an assisted descent.
The S.H.A.R.K. technique is typically used on towers, masts and structures where direct intervention by the rescuer is required.
The day is divided into two sessions:
This training is intended for operatives who are already competent in the use of their personal fall protection equipment.
During training, delegates will carry out activities at height to assess their ability to operate safely in such environments. The height and exposure used in training will be recorded on the certificate for reference only and does not restrict future operational height.
